1. Northern Georgia Miata Autocross championship
***To help in maintaining Season Points, points will only be recorded for Northern Georgia Miata Autocross championship members. If you are not a NGMA member you will not have Season Points recorded, and will not be eligible to win the Points Championship at the end of the year. ***
Class champion:
Each point scored in class by a member will be tallied. The member with the most points in their class will win a class championship. Awards for a class championship will be handed out at the last event. The NGMA member with the highest collected points in each class will win their championship. Points earned are tied to each driver and class. Points are not tied to any vehicle.
Overall Championship winner:
The member with the single highest amount of points (regardless of class) scored in a season will win Overall Championship.
2. How Points Are Awarded:

2. How Points Are Awarded:
Double Points Races.
One Race of the year my be slotted for double points. All points collected during the race will be x2. Finishing position 1st - 6 points, 2nd - 4 points, 3rd-2 point. Two (2) bonus points will be given for Fastest time of the day (FTD).
Races that qualify for double points will be noted in their title. Example "NGMA Run down till sundown -Double points race"
Class X
No season championship is awarded for Class X. Novices may begin autocrossing at any time of the year. However, times recorded in class X are scored towards the appropriate class for season championship, and we may award a "Rookie of the Year" for the best newcomer, regardless of classification.
Classes A, B, C, D, and E
Season points are earned By finishing position 1st - 3 points, 2nd - 2 points, 3rd-1 point. One (1) bonus point will be given for Fastest time of the day (FTD).
Class F
Season points are earned By finishing position 1st - 3 points, 2nd - 2 points, 3rd-1 point. One (1) bonus point will be given for Fastest time of the day (FTD).
Class G
Season points are earned By finishing position 1st - 3 points, 2nd - 2 points, 3rd-1 point. One (1) bonus point will be given for Fastest time of the day (FTD).
Classes R, S, T, U, V, and W
